My Background
When it comes to graphic design, I'm mostly self-taught. I have attended in-person and virtual classes to grow my knowledge over the years. I started with graphic design back in 2002 when I worked for the Journal Broadcast Group in Tucson, AZ. I was the promotions guy for their four radio stations and worked hand-in-hand with the sales team designing sales flyers and then I started to design billboards. I'll never forget driving down Tanque Verde Road and seeing a billboard for an upcoming Matchbox Twenty concert that I had designed. I was hooked.
I am advanced with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and pretty much every other software they offer on their creative cloud. I have been using Adobe software since 2004. One year ago I found out about Canva - which blew my mind - and I have found it to be a great platform for social media banners, posts, and simple design needs.
This is just a sampling below of some designs - and remember - many of these were what the customers wanted. I rarely have a final say in the creative design. Some love my ideas and feedback, while others want to take the lead themselves.
